Scientific benefits of essential oils and their relevance in modern wellness
Essential Oils (EO):
It is a natural oil that are extracted from plants.
EO’s Remarkable impact on various aspects of our lives:
- EO’s have played a captivating and vital role in human history.
- Entwining nature’s essence with the pursuit of well-being and healing.
- These precious oils have been prized for their potential properties and cultural significance since ancient times.
Synthetic Oils (SO):
SO are produced by petrochemicals and other artificial compounds and typically lack the broader range of bioactive compounds found in EO; as a result, they may not provide the same potential benefits as EO.
Potential Effects of EO’s:
- The bioactive compounds in EO can interact with the brain's chemistry through olfactory pathways.
- Research suggests that inhalation of these compounds can affect Neurotransmitter levels, leading to changes in mood and cognitive function and other mindful effectiveness.
- EO are mostly made of small, fat soluble organic molecules called terpenes. They can usually cross the semipermeable blood brain barrier (BBB).
EO effects on human mental and physical wellness using their Bioactive ingredients

Following Image shows how aroma of EO can impact with brain(CNS):
Nose Blindness :
What is Nose Blindness?
- Nose blindness, also known as Anosmia or olfactory fatigue.
- Continuous exposure to a particular scent can desensitize the smell.
- For example: air-freshener,reed stick diffuser and room-freshener .
- Nose blindness can disrupt the sensory experience.
How Diffuzen Avoids Nose-Blindness
- Diffuzen intermittently diffusing the EO for ten seconds every two minutes and then stopping.
- For this technique we are using “Patented Decidrop technology”.This pause in Diffuzen, gives the olfactory receptors a time to reset.
- Diffuzen allows the olfactory sensors to recover and avoids nose blindness.
- The brief bursts of EO followed by periods of rest help to maintain the effectiveness of the scent without overwhelming the senses.
- This approach prevents the olfactory receptors from becoming desensitized to the aroma.
- Allowing users to continue experiencing the full benefits of aroma without getting an effect on nose blindness.
